We have been vermicomposting since I was a kid, thanks to my uncle. I always thought my uncle’s ideas were weird and gross. But in middle school, it was one of the things that were taught to us. We had found a lot of worms in school because it’s located in the heart of an agricultural area.

No, I don’t think worms eat their own poop. They do eat dead plants, leaves and decaying matter that is in the soil.

I used to think worms are gross, but I don’t anymore. When I was a kid, I used to go fishing with my father. One time he made me put a worm on a hook and it was REALLY GROSS! I felt sorry for the worm because the fish was going to eat it!!

Do you think worms are gross? Why or why not?
