    I never held a baby bird. They both seemed pleased with the baby bird. Surely, it would be fun to hold the baby birds were.

    I agree with Ameena about it must be cool to have the Purple Martins in Kelly and Malachi hands. I can’t wait to go to the Refuge.

    Ms. Lenahan, I have been having fun! I have been playing in my backyard,on my swing set,and in the sprinkler with my sister. I have also started my Summer reading projects and I have been spending time with my family!

    Ms.Lenahan, Kelly and Malachi were pretty lucky to hold the Purple Martins. Did any of the chrysalides hatch?

      @Ameena,
      Yes, Ameena, they all hatched! We ended up with four males and one female. Isn’t that strange?

      I now have 8 caterpillars and at least 5 more eggs that I am awaiting hatching. I hope to have some hatch during summer school.

      How is your summer going so far? Have you done anything extra-fun?

      Enjoy this beautiful sunshine!

    Great photos! How exciting it must have been for Kellly and Malachi to hold the purple martin in their hands!
